Larkspur Bakehouse

Since 2009

Our bakery

A neighbourhood bakery on Division Street since 2009: one starter, one deck oven, and a day that starts at three.

Larkspur opened in 2009 in a former hardware shop with one deck oven and a sourdough starter that had travelled from a friend’s kitchen in a jam jar. The starter is still fed every morning; the oven now has two siblings.

We bake everything here, from flour we buy directly from a mill in the valley. Bread is naturally leavened and slow; pastries are laminated by hand; cakes are made to order for the day you need them.

What does not sell goes to the community fridge on the corner at closing time.
